Mixtur Festival 2014 in Barcelona
Mixtur is a collective formed in Barcelona with the aim of contributing to the creation, pedagogy and diffusion of today’s music and sound art, engaged with research, both related to the sound itself and it’s interaction with other disciplines.
This edition of Mixtur Festival will include live performances from over 30 artists, they will perform works from ca. 50 artists, some of them still unknown in Spain: José Manuel López López, Agustí Fernández, Ensemble Taller Sonoro, Forum Neue Vokalmusik, Ensemble Iberoamericano and many more ...
There will be permanent Installations throughout the festival: Exhibition and Documentary about Karlheinz Stockhausen organized by the Goethe Institut of Barcelona. Sound installations from the students of the Master in Sound Art (UB ) and audiovisual works of Sergio Blardony and Marta Azparren, Antonia Gozzi and Laura Liverani, Manuel Ferrer and Alena Mesarosova, Mario Verandi and Harun Farocki, Luis Velasco Pufleau and Momoko Seto, and Ester Xargay.
